Santa Cruz County is my family's home. My children go to school here. As a parent I expect a quality education for my kids - one like I had growing up.

I am a credentialed teacher. I have taught in the classroom and coached on the field. I understand the everyday issues and how to achieve positive results.

Today, our schools face many challenges: unacceptable budget cuts, serious drop-out rates, teacher retention problems. As a Pajaro Valley Unified School District Trustee during the '89 earthquake, I learned first-hand the value of public service and strong leadership in times of crisis.
